Villa Boccaccio combines tradition with modern luxury
In the heart of Tuscany is the historic town of Certaldo, the birthplace of the famous Italian poet, Giovanni Boccaccio, who is perhaps best known for writing The Decameron. Villa Boccaccia has quickly become one of Certaldo's most sought-after tourist hotspots due to its close proximity to many major attractions. Itâs just 40 kilometres away from Florence (the art mecca of Italy) and Florence Airport; a half-hour drive from Siena (which is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Italy); less than an hour away from Pisa and its famous leaning tower; and just a stoneâs throw away from the legendary medieval residence of San Gimignano.

Villa Boccaccio is a traditional Tuscan country house that has undergone some careful renovations. It has now been restored it to its former glory whilst still offering the same comfort and luxuries of modern-day accommodation. The Villa is located in the picturesque countryside between Certaldo and the legendary town of San Gimignano. The residence itself stands on a hill and offers beautiful views of the countryside. Nearby, youâll find a number of renowned Tuscan vineyards, olive groves and historical monuments, as well as some fantastic restaurants offering unique gastronomic experiences.
Although everything is in the immediate vicinity, the Villa itself stands alone on a hill, in the neighborhood of a medieval castle. The complete renovation was completed in 2020 and the house is therefore equipped with high-end technologies, which are very rare in Tuscan accommodation facilities.
Villa Boccaccio offers the possibility of renting the entire villa, where, thanks to the architectural concept, a space suitable for the stay of a group of people who wants to live and experience a beautiful holiday together will be created. The second option is to divide the house into 4 separate apartments, which together contain:
4 apartments (Luxury, Toscana, Etrusco and Romantico), in which there are a total of 5 luxurious bedrooms, 5 spacious bathrooms and a private wellness area in the attic. Each apartment includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and terrace. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, LCD TV, safe and built-in wardrobe. There are terracotta tiles on the floors, and the wooden ceiling beams have also been preserved. Everything is connected by luxurious textiles of all kinds in typically Tuscan colors and tones. Wi-Fi connection in the whole house is a matter of course.
